Party Building, Organisational Renewal & Alliance
- Re-affirm the SACP’s 13th Congress resolution on the institutionalisation of political education.
- Mandate the District Executive Committee to draw lessons from trade unions on how to build political schools.
- Work with the Chris Hani Institute to develop political education and capacity-building syllabus.
- Implement Section 5 of the SACP Constitution so each branch mandates members and probationary members to perform practical tasks.
Radical Economic Transformation
- Conduct a land audit in Johannesburg to collect data on land ownership.
- Campaign for more land to be made available to the workers and the poor.
- Campaign against women’s unpaid labour, which contributes to social reproduction.
- Advance this work as part of the struggle for women’s emancipation and the broader struggle for socialism.
Building a Strong Trade Union Movement
- Establish workplace SACP units to advance the aims, objectives and programme of the Party.
- Work with COSATU and NEHAWU in the district to resuscitate the Charlotte Maxeke JHB Academic Hospital Party Unit.
- Revive the NEHAWU/SACP political school in that workplace.
- Re-launch the programme of establishing Party units in workplaces in the district.
Governance
- The SACP manifesto towards the 2026 local government elections must be informed by data collected through community profiles and issues identified at VD level.
- Embark on a public education programme aimed at raising community awareness around environmental conservation and the implications of environmental degradation.
- Mandate the SACP leadership to develop stringent criteria for Party councillor candidate selection.
- Mandate the district executive committee to have genuine engagement with communities and listen to the will of communities on who must be Party councillor candidates in all wards.
- Land redistribution, agricultural development and human settlement.
Social Transformation & Welfare
- The SACP must push for municipal support for informal traders and township entrepreneurs.
- Ensure access to infrastructure, credit, and training.
On YCLSA
- Support all YCL programmes at branch, sub-district and district levels.
Sports, Arts & Culture
- Campaign for all communities to have adequate sports facilities and community halls.
- Ensure children and community members have places to entertain themselves and participate in community life.
International Solidarity
- Launch and lead an anti-war campaign as part of the working class struggle against imperialism.
Community Alliances & Class Action Support
- Work closely with other social groups, including micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
- Work with non-governmental organisations and faith-based organisations.
- Mobilise support for the Ilungelo Lethu class action appearing before the Johannesburg South High Court in February 2026 against the six major banks in South Africa.
